So not much has happened and yet a lot has happened in the weeks since we went to Florence. We started our seminars which means that our afternoons are now full of class instead of time to sleep and waste time that would be better used doing almost anything else...but hey when are we ever going to get to be that lazy ever again after college? We also had our official doctors visits during which we girls had to bare all (only on top) in order to have a chest xray taken to determine if we had TB (tuberculosis) or not...now I think that if any of us had this we would definitely feel like we had it and not be just catching it now but whatever. All of us are getting sick and it is a bad cold that can't seem to be gotten rid of no matter how hard one tries.
This weekend David Komperda and Emily Kolesar (the other 2 French Majors from Carthage in our year) have come to visit and we (Jesse and I) showed them around Cannes before taking them to dinner at La Piazza and enjoying crepes at la soiree crepe tonight which was very good!
There are 3 new groups of people that have come to the college. One is a group of Americans who seem very nice and have not been obnoxious or annoying at all, one is a group of Italians who are seemingly much better than the last group of Italians but still not great, and the last is a group of Mexicans who seem to be about 14 to 16 years old and immature as possible for that age group. They are rude and constantly making noise unable to comprehend they are not the only people on campus. I would be embarrassed to be one of them with the example that they are making for their country.
I have changed professors for my grammar class. I love this new class and the professor is almost 100% better than my last but it is extremely easy so I do not feel as if I am learning anything new even though I am going over many things that I have not worked on much since high school French class which is probably good.
There are many things that can change over time so I will try to be more diligent in updating you all on my adventures but for now it is 11pm and I am tired so I will sign off promising that there will be more CONFESSIONS from Cannes to come!
