Excitement in spite of Disappointment

So I was supposed to be in Madrid for the past few days but ended up spending the time in Alicante because of a strike that caused our flight to be cancelled twice and us deciding to give up on the matter all together.

Sam and I ended up spending Saturday and Sunday hanging out in San Vicente and exploring the Medieval market that they were having.  It was a very cool experience.  We also saw the new Narnia movie before it came out in the US.  That was an interesting fact to learn.  The movie is very good and I suggest anyone who likes the books go see it if they can.

Monday we spent on the beach as it has been 70's for the past 3 days here in Alicante and is supposed to be continuing this trend in the week to come!  We sat on the beach and just chatted enjoying the sun and then had McDonald's for lunch before walking around to see the things we had not already seen in the city and climbing the other castle that we had never known how to find.  It was not as cool as the other one but it had amazing views.

Tuesday we both just slept in and hung out at home for the day and then met at about 5pm to walk around other parts of the city before taking in the amazing lights that have been put up for the Christmas season around the city.  It is absolutely amazing.   Below is a video of some of the lights.

Wednesday was a day to catch up on sleep and pack for Dublin.  I leave for Dublin this afternoon and am there until Saturday night.  I cannot wait to add yet another country to the list and also to be able to speak to the locals without having to think to hard about what to say.

More Spam from Spain to come!
