6.2.11

The first few days...

So we were delayed approx. 24 hours and then we arrived in London in the wee hours of the morning only to have to cram what we would have done in 2 days into 1.  The day was literally 6:30am to around 10:30pm and most of us had not been able to sleep on the plane as it was only 11:30pm Central standard time when we landed.

We got to see everything we wanted to but ran around like chickens with our heads cut off.  We saw the Royal quarter while on the bus tour and then afterward saw most of Covent Garden as well as the British Museum (the Rosetta Stone), the Peter Pan statue, Kings Cross Station (Platform 9 and 3/4), and Picadilly Circus.  It was overall a productive day.

Arriving in Cannes 2 hours late...this seems to be a pattern recently, we arrived at the campus and had a quick meeting before receiving our rooming assignments.  I am rooming with Brittany Juntunen though I was originally planning on living with an international student.  There were none available at this time.

Today I went for a run with one of the girls I met, Hanna Prost before taking a shower and going to brunch with my roommate.  We have been having so much fun and clicked pretty much right away.  After brunch we put some pictures up on facebook before heading out to the boardwalk for a little while before we had to be back on campus for orientation.  We then filled out our visa forms and got copies of our passports made.  Then we had "welcome drinks" and took pictures of the sunset on the beach.  It was seriously the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen.

Tomorrow we will take our placement exam and go on a walking tour of the city.

More confessions to come.
