Monaco et Eze

On Saturday the 12th of February 2011, AIFS Cannes went to Monaco and Eze for the day.  We left at 9am from the College and returned around 7pm.  It was a wonderful day full of beautiful things.

The first event of the day was to drive down the rue Anglaise in Nice. This is the road along the Mediterranean which will be the location for the Carnaval Parade next weekend.  It was very beautiful and enjoyable even though it was a very short amount of time.  The buildings long that road are gorgeous and mainly old but still in incredible shape.

Next up was this road to Monaco along the sea which is absolutely gorgeous.  Jesse and I really want to know why anyone would want to live in the US when you could wake up to sights like that everyday.  Each thing is so gorgeous and so amazing.  The sun shining on the water is absolutely amazing to see.

Next stop was the place center of Monaco where we got to see the changing of the palace guard and the Musee Oceanographique.  It was a again beautiful with a bunch of really beautiful places to stop and take pictures.  The aquarium in the museum was by far my favorite part.  It smelled very fishy but there were tons of fish that I had never seen before in my life.

Next was Monte Carlo where we got the chance to see the casino and gamble if we chose too, while I thought it might be cool to be able to say that the first time I gambled was a Monte Carlo, I decided that it was no big deal and it wasn't worth losing money for that claim.  So I just walked around outside and took pictures instead.

Next we went to the Medival Village of Eze which has claims as the town in France that is the farthest above sea level and the farthest below as well.  We climbed to the top of the hill and looked out and it was absolutely gorgeous.  We also had crepes here which were really good but not as good as I remember the ones in Paris or anywhere else being.

I still can't believe that I am getting to see these places.  Every place I see makes me fall in love with Europe even more.  Each day brings me closer to having to make big decisions about my life and part of me thinks that Europe is going to play an extremely big role in that even if there are many in my life whom I love who would love for it to be otherwise.

More confessions to come.
